Alcatel has expanded its Pixi series with an impressive new device that should appeal to buyers looking for a smartphone with excellent battery life. The key highlight of the company’s new Pixi 4 Plus Power is a large 5000mAh capacity battery.
Alcatel claims that the 5000mAh capacity battery inside the smartphone provides up to 2.7 days of usage on a single charge. The smartphone apparently is capable of giving you up to 22 hours of Wi-Fi browsing time, 14 hours of continuous video streaming, and up to 5 days nonstop music playback. What’s more, the smartphone also support fast charging and the battery can be used as a portable power bank as well to charge your other mobile devices.
Now let’s talk about the rest of the handset’s specifications. It comes with a 5.5-inch 720 x 1280 HD resolution IPS display, 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal memory. A microSD card slot is provided for you to expand the storage further. Strangely, Alcatel does not mention anything about the chipset powering this handset on its website. Usually manufacturers at least make a mention of the number of cores the chipset has, so this is definitely very weird.
Moving on, the smartphone is equipped with a 13MP camera at the back, with video stabilization (electronic image stabilization). For selfies, it gets a 5MP snapper on the front. Connectivity features include Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Wi-Fi direct, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS with GLONASS, Micro USB 2.0, Dual SIM Dual Standby, and 3G HSPA+ with up to 21Mbps downlink and 5.76Mbps uplink. In the audio department, the Pixi 4 Plus Power comes with Arkamys optimized speakers. In terms of dimensions, the handset measures 152 x 78.3 x 9.9mm and weighs in at a hefty 202 grams. The smartphone runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system out of the box, which is a plus.
