A few days back ZTE launched two new models the 8th gen Mavericks phones. They are known as the Nubia Z17S and Nubia Z17 miniS. The Nubia Z17S is a high-end smartphone sporting all the trendy features such as a full-screen and dual-camera. But actually, there are too many things you should know about this amazing handset. We have already managed to take our hands on it at the conference, and now we come in with the Nubia Z17S unboxing photos. Let’s recall its key features quickly and enjoy the real beauty of this awesome smartphone.
The Nubia Z17S sports a 5.73-inch full-screen with a resolution of 1080 × 2040 pixels with ultra-narrow bezels of 3mm, an aspect ratio of 17:9, a pixel density of 403PPI, color saturation of 96%, and supports DCI-P3 wide color gamut. The screen occupies up to 90.36% of the front panel.
We can find a Snapdragon 835 chip under the hood paired with a 6/8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 64/128GB of UFS 2.1 internal storage. There is also a 3100mAh capacity battery supporting the company’s flash charge technology allowing the phone to charge 20% and keep alive the whole day. Thanks to NeoCharge 2.5 charging with a 26W high power and 1.67C batteries the phone won’t heat during the process. There is also a new power-saving technology dubbed as the NeoPower 3.0.
As I said, the Nubia Z17S comes with a dual-camera using 2x12MP Sony IMX362 and 23MP Sony IMX318 sensors. They come with apertures of f/1.8 and f/2.0, respectively. It is going to be one of the best options in the market supporting DOF (depth of field) via custom chip, 6P optical lens, color flashlight, 2x dual-camera zoom, 10x dynamic zoom, 3D noise reduction 2.0, a dual-core focus at just 0.03s due to multi-point focus technology, and many more. The camera is great even in terms of software using a NeoVision 7.0 camera engine that supports AI Portrait 2.0. This is a quad-camera smartphone – there is a 5MP dual-camera on the front as well.
At last, the Nubia Z17S supports 7-mode 24-band dual-card 4G + full-network (up to the top 450 / 300Mbps), MIMO dual-antenna Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.1, full-featured NFC, 0.1-second fingerprint recognition, DTS sound, and there is a USB Type-C as well.
As there are several variants, the prices will differ as well. The 8+128GB model will cost 3999 yuan ($607), while the 6+64GB will cost 2999 yuan ($455). Both models will go on sale on October 19. Plus, the company unleashed new headphones with a 93% noise reduction effect. It’s priced at 299 yuan ($45).
