About two weeks ago, Xiaomi’s Redmi Note 5 and Redmi Note 5 Pro were launched in India. They also showed up recently, in the MWC 2018 event; and haven’t missed grabbing the attention of the crowd.
Now, the latest updates have revealed that their home country will also receive the model soon. Yes, and it comes from Zang Zhiyuan, Product Marketing Director at Xiaomi. The company is planning to name the international variant of the Redmi Note 5 Pro as Redmi Note 5, to launch in China, according to him.
He has also added that there is a surprise when it comes to the camera specs; and also expectantly a few tweaks to its configuration.
The initial launch for the duo was in India, on 14th of Feb’18. Then they went on the first sale on 22nd of the same month. To all our surprise, Xiaomi managed to sell 300,000 units of the models in just 3 minutes. Adding to it, the newly launched Redmi Note 5 Pro has also set its mark in the MWC also.
Even, Wang Xiang, Xiaomi’s Head of International Business has taken Weibo to publicize this fact. His post states that the model was awarded the ‘Best of MWC 2018’ medal, by the renowned tech media Android Headlines. Moreover, he has also stated that many of the viewers, even wanted to buy it on the spot.
Redmi Note 5 Pro launched in India, features a 5.99”IPS LCD touchscreen display, rendering 1080 x 2160 pixels resolution, with 18:9 ratio. Internally, the device carries a Snapdragon 636 processor, and 4GB / 6GB RAM, with 64GB inbuilt storage.
Talking about the cameras, the device holds a vertically arranged dual cameras (12MP + 5MP) on its rear; and a 20MP front-facing camera, along with a LED flash.
